Happy New Year 2008! We hope that you and yours had a wonderful holiday season. We wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous new year!

As we look back…2007 found the furniture and bedding market with a shift in business climate and trends. It was quite the challenge keeping up with the changes necessary to continue forward momentum. We have a great association and its members enthusiastically rose to confront and prevail in spite of these changes.

The Futon and Specialty Sleep Trade Expo had two successful shows at World Market Center, Las Vegas, in January and July. The energy surrounding a show is invigorating! Buyers come from around the world to get a glimpse at the new designs, colors and fashions of our trade. 2007 was a particularly good year for exhibitors to meet new buyers and make new contacts - seeds for a sound future.

The membership spoke and the Board of Directors took their cue to change the name from the Futon Association International to the new Futon and Specialty Sleep Trade. The new name encompasses a broader product line and extends the benefits of membership to a more diverse group of manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, reps and retailers.

Another cue taken…to negotiate a permanent home, at World Market Center, Las Vegas, for future Futon and Specialty Sleep Trade Expo’s. We are pleased to announce our new permanent showroom located in the newest building C, Suite 1440. We look forward to your visit in our exciting, new showroom.

So, as we say good bye to 2007 and hello to 2008, we thank you for being a member of the Futon and Specialty Sleep Trade and wish you and yours the best for the New Year.
