The FAI was created in 1984 by the industry, for the industry, to provide coherence, direction, and advocacy.
Membership Details & Dues
Manufacturer, Distributor & Supplier Membership
Manufacturer, Distributor & Supplier (MDS) Membership is open to any company that pays annual dues to the Association and has business in the futon and specialty sleep industry. Your rights and privileges as a MDS Member of the FAI, in addition to the standard benefits package available, include the right to nominate, or be nominated (after one year of membership) for the Board of Directors and vote for and otherwise participate in elections held
once a year. MDS Members have the opportunity to be an exhibitor, at WMC, with the FAST Expo.
Retailer Membership
Retailer Membership is open to any company that pays annual dues to the Association and has business in the futon and specialty
sleep industry. Your rights and privileges as a Retail Member of the FAI, in addition to the standard benefits package available, include the right
to nominate, or be nominated (after one year of membership) for the Board of Directors and vote for and otherwise participate in elections
held once a year. Retail Members cannot show as an exhibitor at the Futon Expo and Specialty Sleep Show®. Become a Retail Member Now
Sales Representative Membership
Sales Representative Membership is open to any individual that pays annual dues to the Association and has business in the futon and specialty sleep industry. Your rights and privileges as a Sales Representative Member of the FAI, include the right to nominate, or be nominated
(after one year of membership) for the Board of Directors and vote for and otherwise participate in elections held once a year. Sales Representative Members do not receive the standard benefits package.
Sales Associate Membership
Associate Membership is open to any company that pays the annual dues to the Association and has, as part of its business, a supporting interest in the futon and specialty sleep industry. Associate Members receive all informational mailings and the membership directory. Associate Members do not receive the standard benefits package, are not able to nominate or be nominated for the Board of Directors and do not participate in elections or receive booth eligibility at the FAST Expo.

Dues are for one year (US funds only). Your FAI Membership Dues are deductible as ordinary and a necessary business expense.
