The Futon Association International (FAI) respects the privacy of the individuals who visit our web site. To help ensure your privacy online FAI has put into effect the following policy.
General Users: You may feel free to browse our website anonymously. For marketing purposes, the FAI does collect data on the number of hits a web page receives. This does not provide any personal information. The only time that personal information would be collected from you is if you choose to correspond us.
FAI Members: To become a member of the FAI, company and contact information is collected. This information is used for our electronic online directory, print directory, Find A Retailer and / or Find A Supplier. The shared information is a direct benefit of being a member of the FAI and you do so voluntarily. The FAI tries to keep member information up-to-date, if at anytime your membership information needs to be updated email members@futon.org or call (407) 447-1706.
The FAI also collects information from our electronic newsletter, to include and monitor click throughs to links provided in the email message, which email recipients read the email, date and time of the email being read. The FAI only uses this information to show relevance to materials we send to our members. The FAI does not share, rent, or sell this information to outside parties.
What Does The FAI Use Information Collected For?
The FAI uses voluntarily collected information to improve our website and information sent to our membership. This helps to keep our website content relevant.
Disclosures To Third Parties: The FAI makes member contact information available through the FAI Electronic Online Directory, Find A Retailer and / or Find A Supplier, and print materials. This is a direct benefit of becoming a member of the FAI and is strictly voluntary. On occasion, FAI may provide limited access data to third parties that offer our membership direct benefits. The limited access data may include information provided in the FAI’s electronic online directory (which includes: company name, contact, address, business telephone numbers, business fax numbers, website, e-mail address). Members may request FAI refrain from disclosing the information of the FAI’s electronic online directory to third parties. Members preferring to opt-out, and not have information shared with benefit companies, may email members@futon.org or call (407) 447-1706.
Credit Card Information: At no time will FAI share credit card information with third parties. When members or customers pay using a credit card, FAI submits the information needed to obtain payment to the appropriate clearinghouse.
What Happens When With Links to Other Web Sites?
The FAI has no control or responsibility over the contents or privacy policies of web site links provided throughout the FAI’s website.
